The ankle carries several times your body weight with every step, so even a 'simple' sprain can leave lasting instability if it is not treated properly. Care ranges from bracing and rehabilitation to arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery.
Conditions we treat
- Recurrent ankle sprains and instability
- Achilles tendon injuries
- Ankle fractures
- Plantar fasciitis and heel pain
- Flat foot and deformities
- Diabetic foot problems
How it works — what to expect
- 1
Consultation & examination
A detailed history and hands-on clinical examination to identify the exact structure causing pain, instability or stiffness.
- 2
Imaging & diagnosis
X-rays, and where needed an MRI or CT scan, to confirm the diagnosis and plan treatment precisely.
- 3
Bracing and rehabilitation
Most sprains, Achilles problems and plantar fasciitis improve with bracing, load management, orthoses and targeted physiotherapy.
- 4
Ankle arthroscopy or ligament repair
Persistent instability, impingement or cartilage lesions are treated arthroscopically; torn ligaments are repaired or reconstructed.
- 5
Progressive weight-bearing
A boot or brace protects the repair while walking is gradually restored under supervision.
Procedures offered
Ankle arthroscopy
Key-hole treatment of impingement, loose bodies and cartilage lesions inside the ankle joint.
Ligament reconstruction
Restores stability for patients whose ankle repeatedly gives way despite rehabilitation.
Fracture fixation
Anatomical reduction and fixation to restore the joint surface and prevent early arthritis.
Recovery & rehabilitation
The ankle tolerates early movement well but needs protection from twisting while ligaments heal. A walker boot allows walking without stressing the repair.
Balance retraining is essential — the joint's position sense is disturbed after every significant sprain, and untreated it leads to repeat injury.
Deformity correction and Achilles reconstruction follow longer timelines, with the plan explained clearly before surgery.
- Week 0–2: swelling control, protected weight-bearing
- Week 2–6: brace or boot, range of motion work
- Week 6–12: strength and proprioception training
- Month 3–6: running and sport-specific drills
